Great for the money
For a few pounds more this is way better quality than the really cheap ones on eBay. Spend the extra. This is not a professional jig and thought is needed if using closely spaced dowels if making a frame for a example - don’t fix/glue dowels on first piece until holes on second piece are drilled - same advice for any jig of this type. Not accurate enough
This device is good, but not accurate enough for perfect joints. The self centering mechanism is about 0.5mm out. Might not sound like much, but when butting two edges together there’s a ridge and if you want perfect, then this doesn’t cut it unfortunately. A great bit of kit
This a simple and sturdy tool. It is very easy to use. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The drill guides are steel lined so you will get years of use. You will need to purchase some drill bits and some depth stops to fit them. I started to use an old drill bit but it's so much easier with a sharp one.
