A complex but worthwhile tapestry kit
The Cluny tapestry series portraying fairytale princess-like figures in various quaint scenes often including unicorns and other heraldic animals have delighted the fancy of generations of ladies who like to do needlepoint. Several companies have offered kits of different scenes to be stitched on printed canvas. The Dimensions kits are smaller and simpler than some, but still time-consuming projects. #2107 shoes a lady with a positive organ with a unicorn conjuring up a fantasy of medieval music and the legend of St Cecilia. Unlike some versions it does not require petit point for the ladies' faces and other fine details, but that could be done anyway, and might be a satisfying way of working this scene. The canvas is an upright rectangle and meant to be used as a wall hanging or framed picture. It is not suitable for a cushion cover or chair sear, though it might possibly be a chair back for if the chair is large and has a high back. The wool is a standard good quality for needlepoint. Personally I. believe many would be delighted to stitch it. at $85 it is pricey, but you could pay much more, perhaps for a very slightly larger version, so it seems reasonable.
