I have been using Arco for many years, and have found it to be the best shaving soap I have ever used, including much more expensive brands. Good value and good lather.
After finishing my stock of the much loved Palmolive shave sticks, which used to cost about 49p, I was looking around for a replacement. I think I have found it in Arko. Good value, lathers well, a little goes a long way. The soap is soft and malleable if you want to put it in a bowl or, in my case, a screw-action holder. Excellent shaving soap, easily recommended.
I thought I'd try Arko shaving soap for a change. I am glad I did, it works really well. Personally I heat it up a little and mold it into my shaving bowl so I can use it with a shaving brush (rather than use it by rubbing it directly on your face). Brilliant. Ditch the shaving foam for ever.
This stuff is brilliant. Forget cans of foam and gel etc. get some of this and a shaving brush. The soap lasts for ages. after two weeks of daily shaving I've used about 1 cm if that. . Excellent product
12 pack for less than a tenner. Extremely good value. The soap itself , you rub the stick on wet face and lather with a brush on your beard. It's strong lemon urinal cake smell is it's only down side though this doesn't bother me . It gives a slick protective lather as good as any soap I've tried. I have sensitive skin and shave with a DE or sometimes a shavette with no issues. This soap is all you need , I can't see any reason to pay for anything more expensive. No plastic in the packaging though not sure if it has palm oil derivatives in it or not ?
