About this product

Product Information

This large hen house is constructed of durable tongue and groove wood. It can accommodate up to ten small or eight large birds. There is a ramp to access the big front door as well as a ventilation window. A metal tray is provided for easy cleaning, and there are four perches and six nesting boxes. This spacious coop measures 154 x 10 x 110 cm, comes flat packed, and is easy to assemble.

Looking great
Great size easy to put together. Just need to paint to make survive longer in all year weathers. The wood is very thin but hope will serve for many years as hens are not so heavy so should not brake it.

CHICKEN COOP
Delivered in two carton boxes without indication where it is made. Made of low quality wood and not really large as it is indicated. Bottom tray with metal top layer not easy to pull out for cleaning. roof does not open to enable cleaning. Side boxe's covers do not open completely for inspection and have to be held by hand half open. As a DIY person I would value the materials for the coop not more than £30 / 35 perhaps the postage high. On the positive side, it was not difficult to assemble.

Good quality hen coop
Just put the chicken coop together, it is very sturdy but the wood used is very light. All together is a nice coop I am pleased with it and my girls like it. One thing I had to do is move one of the locks for the nest box as it didn't line up properly. 5* for the coop and 5* for the company

Delivered on time in 2 flat pack boxes. The coop came with instructions for assembly which were easy to follow and I put it together on my own. The coop is made from fairly thin board , so I have painted it (a lovely colour of Sage) for added protection although it looks as though it has received some weatherproofing already. I fitted an automatic door opener/closer. The 'perches' for the birds (I'm getting Bantams) are basically on the floor, which is perhaps unusual.. Overall I'm really pleased, I'm getting the birds next week, so I hope they are too!

Supplier recommends you have the built house outdoors for a few weeks before varnishing/painting, but this is the case with all new wood. Lay the pieces out first before building as the instructions have no wording at all, and wasnt always clear from the diagrams but I am useless at DIY and still managed it! Very happy with the house, highly recommended.

Easy to put up and looks great. Not sure about the roosting bars though as they are only a few inches off the floor. We are going to put one up of our own which is a bit higher off the floor. Very pleased with it and am glad I purchased it.
