Bought 6 of these to bring to Kenya.....my friend had a rat problem and Kenyan rats are big !! On the first day, 3 were caught.... The best trap ever
I have tried other types of traps including the metal ones and this is the best. Caught a rat on the 1st go in the outside shed using some peanut butter. Easy to set, I recommend using garden gloves to set and place the trap, one it can save a painful snap on the finger and also prevents your scent on the trap. Killer rat trap
Well made, traditional pattern rat trap. A bit hair-trigger to set, and not too much info on the packet -- but plenty of demo videos online. Having lost ( ! ) a previous metal trap, I drilled a hole in this one and screwed it to a wooden plank. I baited it with a peanut in the cavity and smeared some peanut butter on the plate. Within the first hour I had caught the first very large rat. Screwing or glueing the trap to a bigger piece of wood will stop a rat walking away with the trap if it's just caught by the tail. Works well
At first I thought it was going to be some bad quality traps as the reviews on this ad is mainly for the victor traps, the first night I tried these traps with peanut butter it cought the main rat, the one that was destroying me. It also cought number of mouses that got attracted to the peanut butter. Over all for the price of these traps it's good and well worth it.

Two traps, one caught in each so far
Hello, Ordered two of these rat traps as caught afew mice with small traps so thought I'd get a set of rat traps as some smaller traps had been dragged off. Came to the conclusion that the smaller traps are doing what they should but not powerful enough. What I have realised is that it is rats getting in to shed through a rotted bit of timber so sealed that. Took aways any food sources and left smaller and larger traps set up in various locations. A good idea is to set all your traps as this increases chances of capture, also as bait peanut butter spread has done the trick on both rat catches. One caught on each trap so far. People saying it's not humane needn't get these then. For me this is fine as long as I'm trapping them. Pic of latest victim.

Excellent Rat Trap
Excellent trap, this is the 2nd one I've bought. Baited with Nutella the rats just can't resist walking to a humane death. Watch your fingers be very careful when setting it. Well made old school rat trap. I would recommend the product, great value for money & does the job humanely. Killed 13 rats so far & still going strong. 5 stars

Oh Yes - they work
Have bought a couple of expensive electronic rat traps which do occasionally work. For a fraction of the price these ‘snap traps’ have work even better.
