The drama follows two young friends, Elena (Margherita Mazzucco) and Lila (Gaia Girace), as they come of age. Now in their 20s, their lives have moved on from the poor Naples neighbourhood where they grew up together. Elena left and has become a successful writer while Lila stayed in Naples and works in a meat factory to support herself and her young son. The episodes are: 'Indecencies', 'The Fever', 'The Treatment', 'Cold War', 'Terror', 'Becoming', 'Try Again' and 'Those Who Leave, Those Who Stay'.

a continuation from the first two series - superbly filmed and acted - now moves into the late 1960s
Having read the books and seen the first two DVDs in the series this continues the story - as ever it is beautifully filmed, scripted, and acted and totally absorbing.
