Better than expected
This was bought as a temporary appliance. I looked at a few and there were plenty about. The kw rating was one of the highest and the cooking ring diameter would accommodate large pans. The digital heat control is really handy for simmering. Portable and able to plug into a normal household socket, it seemed to fit my requirements. However I was concerned that the heat produced may not be sufficient. Within 30mins of delivery it was on test. Tried it with a pan of water, boiled quick and the heat control allowed a perfect simmer. A fan provides cooling to the internals and it can be cleaned easily. The controls have a number of functions I did not require and I have not tested. Saying that my main cooker has similar features and I have never needed those either. It is simple to operate, heats quick, heat levels easily controlled. The appearance is good one flat glass surface on the top that cleans easily. Very pleased with this purchase and would recommend anybody looking for something similar to consider it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great induction hob for small kitchen

Portable induction single hob.
Very quick to heat up ,easy to use ,even great to take outdoors .Purchase the frying pan it's fantastic .we already have an induction hob so if doing a weekend fry it now avoids cleaning the the hob and splash back . Space age good looks
A single unit ,a bit bigger than expected and the dimensions are not on their web site, it heats up fast, the controls are not very logical Captain and apart from the book a visit to Youtube was needed,the temperature is controlled in 20 degree steps or ten pre-sets which do the same, After a weeks use I find it quicker and cleaner than gas or electric rings including halogen,It has a standby mode with an LCD display but no power kill switch, this I dislike , I turn it of at the wall socketVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Handy bit of kit
These are great little cookers though they are not without fault, perhaps because I have to take mine around with me all the time they have a hard life, the little rubber feet tend to fall off, and eventually the plastic case cracks ( makes no difference to the function though) and eventually the thermostat gives up the ghost. Having said that, I have bought four of these over the last six years and they are great little cookers. I'd rate them 9 out of 10 for performance and value for money, I'd give it 10 out of ten if they lasted longer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
