Good features but not as load as old model
The new radio has really good features and is better designed but is not as loud as the old version. Best bit about this new radio is they got rid of the aerial I think it must be built into the handle now

Makita dmr 115 radio
I’m loving this radio . I bought it for my garage after going to a friends house who had one going in the garden , I was so impressed with the sound quality and build quality, I bought one the next day. Some people complain about the sub woofer distortion, which it does do , but it’s an easy fix by adjusting the bass equilizer. Job done.Do I recommend this unit? Fantastic sounding radio, feels like it's built to last
The sound from this radio is excellent, and even better if you sit it over something hollow such as a bucket! The display is nice and clear, and you can see it well in bright sunlight. Reception is better than my older DMR112, not sure why some say it's worse, the antenna is in the handle which works best when upright but the majority of the time can be left flat. The 2.4A USB output is very handy for charging stuff. The body of the radio feels well made, many of the black bits in the pictures are made of rubber.
