Perfect for around the house
I think this is the perfect battery for nonprofessional. Its small and lightweight, Keeping the overall weight of tool down. Recharges quickly, I have two that I swap back and forth on charger, never running out of power. If I was still a tradesman, a bigger battery might have some advantages, but for a hobbyist like me I highly recommend it. One more thought, I started using cordless power tools 40 years ago. I have use many brands over the years, but in my opinion, Makita brand is the best. From design to power they cant be beat. .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

don't buy
I had the batteries for my makita drill set go bad(wouldn't charge anymore) to buy two new batteries from makita would have been expensive, buying a new set would have been the way to go seeing it's 4 or 5 years old. So far, so good

Only worked for 2 charges

Save your money for the OEM batteries
rough fit into Makita charger, 1.5 amp hr charge (maybe?) is inadequate...price is cheap if you don't use it except as handyman homeowner or emergency use...found it necessary to go out and purchase Makita OEM batteries, even though price is outrageous.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
