One of the best cinematic movies ever with award winning music and outdoor photography, action packed from start to finish. And historical costumes. The extra’s people in the background are actually reenactment characters

DVD version overall MUCH BETTER than Blu-Ray
Blu-Ray version has better sound and somewhat sharper images than DVD version, but it is MUCH darker, making most of the forest and nighttime scenes poorly visible. They also changed the final scene completely--apparently to make it more 'politically correct' for today.

Beautiful photography. Great character development. Well directed. Engaging historical record. The actors/actresses are well cast and absolutely believable. The storyline is riveting and simply does not stop. If you enjoy period dramas based on historical events, you should enjoy The Last of the Mohicans.
