I think this is absolutely great
Watched a few reviews on this and they seemed mixed. I went for it anyway being fairly cheap. Just to use in shed so not a huge space but wow. I wet the filter and popped it in freezer for 20 minutes. You dont have to do this but it was recommended for the best result. This thing doesnt half have some power for its size and it works an absolute treat. I'm literally over the moon with it! Even on its lowest setting it was enough to keep the shed icy cold when it was 25 degrees outside. Doesn’t really do much
I read all the mixed reviews and thought I’d chance it. Wet the filters and put them in the freezer, added cold water along with ice cubes to the top unit but although this initially blew out cool air. It eventually just blew out warm air once the weather heated up. I only bought it to use in a small cabin (8’x12’) in the garden. Not so Quiet after all !!
This does really Cool the area eventually, it does blow cool air, after putting water in it. But I couldn’t sleep with that thing next to me, way to noisy.....Shame. Loud and expensive basic fan
Not my best purchase ever. Even on the lowest speed is loud compared to a standard fan on highest speed. Doesn’t cool as good as expected, no matter if there is ice cold water or room temperature water in the tank. Doesn’t worth the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointed

be realistic
You have to be realistic about what this very small box is capable of. It is very small - less than half the size of a standard shoe box. We have it in a very small room. When you sit near to it, you can feel a slight cooling. It isn't noisy - just a hum. It says it's portable, but you still need to connect it electrically. Surprisingly good
Bought this on a whim because of the price, VERY pleasantly surprised. Started with cold water and it was pretty cool, added ice cubes in the water left it in my bedroom and I was amazed half an hour later how cold it was. For £17.99 this is a steal AND, the cable plugs into a USB port so can have it by your computer at work. Only bad thing is it’s not overly quiet, but better than sweltering to death.
