Shark KD400WM Sonic Duo Hard Floor Cleaner Shampooer ($49.99): I really like this machine for my carpets. It is not an extraction carpet cleaner. It squirts the Shark cleaning solution, it vibrates and you massage the soln into the carpet, and vacuum after it dries. Carpet looks clean as you work. It's a lightweight machine, easy to move, and you see results rapidly. I feel it cleaned as well as Rug Doctor (which looks really clean for a few days, then so-so after that) with less effort, less cleaning time, and way less dry time. The cleaning soln is practically odorless, and doesn't bring out odor as you clean. Not really sure how much it freshens, hard to judge since I didn't have any unusual odors to try it on. I love my Shark Sonic Duo!
Wow, what a great price for what you get. I have dogs and a lot of laminate flooring and when they come in when it is raining, they track in a lot of water and sometimes dirt. This guy does the trick in cleaning up quickly and effortlessly behind them to make sure your floor is spic and span.
