Dreamcatcher Electric Blanket and excellent buy
Not had it long enough to judge likely longevity but first indications are that it is very well made and works very well - I only use it for pre-heating at the moment i.e. setting No.1 but the bed is very cosy when going to bed. I had misgivings before ordering it as I thought that its size was too big for a standard double bed but actually it is a perfect fit both for length and width. I had feared the heating element would be on the very edges of the mattress but they are not - they are well clear, The cable connection is well placed under the pillow, near the outer end of the pillow and I cannot feel any discomfort. The control cables seem of adequate length - certainly in my case as my plugs are well placed in relation to the bed on each side, but there is plenty slack if required. The supplier: Futuradirect were very helpful with my pre-sales enquiry answering my questions fully and promptly. After despatch the blanket arrived in good time and was well packed (next day I recall).. From my experience so far I would say that I can safely recommend this supplier and the Dreamcatcher electric blanket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Lightweight but not working

Genuine King Size bed warmer
Firstly the fit is a true king size. Like the fact it is very easy to fit with its elasticated valance, not silly strings like my previous electric blanket. Also the fact of two independent heat controls for either side of the bed. Blissful warm nights
Fitted our new Dreamcatcher leccy blanket to our king size bed. Perfect, no tapes to chase around and fasten, the electric connectors are in the right position so that your not lying on them and best of all, the blanket has a skirt on it so it stay in position all the time. Great value for a dual control king size blanket
Easy to fit and very comfortable and warm once it has been on for about 15 minutes. It doesn't seem to have the overheat protection as stated in the description, as I accidentally left it on for several hours and it became extremely hot. Does exactly what it's intended to do
The blanket does exactly what it is stated to do. The elasticated skirt which retains it on the bed is perfect. Not only does it fit properly it keeps it in place without it ruffling . The heat levels are perfect and can be warm to hot. I put it on 15 minutes before bedtime and this is sufficient to be toasty warm when getting into bed. (when I turn it off) I did however find that simply putting it under the sheet I could feel the wires. This was easy to overcome by placing it beneath the Mattress Topper and in fact retained the heat better. To be honest I would have liked the wires to be at the extreme end of the blanket (at the bottom) as being over 6 foot tall my feet reach the bottom of the bed. As it is the heat is a bit further up the bed but it's certainly not the end of world that it's not. This is one of my favourite buys and I am well pleased with the purchase. I seldom recommend any products to others as i know that someone else's view/opinion can be widely different to mine . However on this occasion I am well pleased and I'm happy to say that MOST!! people will be happy with the blanket.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
