Amazing strings!
These strings are not too heavy, not too light. They last a looooooooooooong time and they respond amazingly! I'm sold on these! I've tried more brands, types and gauges of strings than I can count. These are it, for me!

An interesting change of tune
I had a Faith accounting which came with Elixir strings as new, so I had an idea of what they were like, the life and playability impressed me, so when I acquired a Gibson Hummingbird with 12’s on it was a bit different, I play it a lot, more than the Faith, so the strings were getting a bit old, I thought that going down to a set of 11’s might be interesting, so got some of these, it’s been 4 days now and I’m delighted, the Gibson is very different to the Faith , not just tonally, but how you play it. I liked the original strings, but these slightly lighter and coated strings produce great sounds and increase the ease of playing, barre chords and slides much easier , on a guitar that’s already a dream to play.

Lack of tamperproof packaging
Elixir offices in USA and Europe have been made fully aware of the quality issue and failed repeatedly to address it and provide a professional response to tamperproof packaging. I have gone back to my other preferred brands. The strings did not warrant the premium pricing
