Perfect replacement
A power outage killed our previous 10 year old genie garage door opener. Wanted just the motherboard but bought the whole thing. Ended up installing the entire thing a d it’s super. Quiet, fits more snugly, update. Not fancy but works great. Hubz installed himself.

Good unit. Very quiet. Sketchy battery.
The backup battery lasts for only about five lifts with a lightweight aluminum door. If that's brand new, after a few days charging, the usefulness of the battery seems open to question after a year or so in the garage. But CA requires it, and this is one of the better options.

Replacement motor control
Replaced a Genie IntelliG 1000 with this and just had to replace the motor control part. Reused track, belt, wires, etc. Did have to use new wall control as I couldn’t get old one to work with new one.
