Good device at a good price.

Simple and light weight, easy to use but you will need a 9v battery as not provided and it would be nice if it came with a simple case to keep it clean and in good order,,,

  • Most critical review

    Sturdy but could connect easier.

Easy to use, sturdy construction but battery compartment too small for easy insertion. The co ax to F adaptor does not fit all co ax connectors easily but still works, not inspiring confidence in test results.

  • compact and well made

makes finding a tv signal easy, the only gripe i have is they only give you one connector for the aerial wire, if i had two i would leave it connected permanently instead of connecting and disconnecting the wire every time i move to a new site. overall a very handy item.

  • Minus stars was not an option, hence one star given.

It just does not work in a way that gives any confidence in the results. Just plugging in a 400mm aerial connection lead without any aerial attached gives the first LED display. Plugging in the downlead from my working aerial downlead which gives an excellent signal level display on my TV's diagnostic page still only lit the first LED. The battery compartment is also too shallow, with a PP3 battery installed I had to bend the plastic cover to get it to fit, putting excess strain on it. Overall, pretty much the same experience as other previous reviews which I wish I had read first before ordering. If I had read them, I would have not wasted my money on this bin fodder.

  • Dont deal with these people...

Hi i received one of these and it was faulty, the company wont reply to my messages and haven't replaced it....they seem to have a lot of bad feedback...ignore my previous message that said it was ok..my mistake it isn't...as you can see the lights are on all the time with nothing connected...from Fred in Essex.

  • Doesn't work.

I have 4 TVs running off of one loft aerial. I bought this because I wanted to make sure I had the best signal available. I have a good picture on all channels on all TVs. No freezing or breaking up but when I connect this signal strength finder to the aerial it shows no green lights at all whatever direction I point the aerial so it is not fit for purpose. I have read many other reviews from people who have the same problem.

  • To signal finder

Bought this item to get the best signal in a summerhouse at the top of my garden. Directed the aerial in approx same direction as other aerials in the area , used the signal finder to get best reception, just a few tweaks, spot on.

  • no led's

It just doesn't work ! the red light is on but no green lights at all. The TV works fine though without the use of the signal finder, I just put a long lead on the Ariel and slowly turned it through 360 until I got the best picture. With the Ariel in this position the led still do not light up at all.

  • Great Product

Small, light and very, very good value. Works well detecting direction of Freeview signal for TV in my motorhome. Have used in New Forest and Dorset, found signal faultlessly. Even more useful when wildcamping, when there are no other 'vans about to give approximate direction of transmitter. Excellent kit for very little money.

  • Labgear signal meter tester

I recently bought a Labgear aerial for my loft. Before I installed the new aerial, I wanted to check on the strength of signal from my old aerial to compare with the new one. I checked the signal strength on both aerials and it was very clear that the new aerial was picking up a much stronger signal than the old one. The Labgear signal tester is an excellent thing to have when aligning an aerial signal. It helped me to position my aerial in a direction that gave me the strongest signal and it is very compact and easy to use. It came complete with the necessary fittings and all that was required was a nine volt battery. I really wish that I had bought one much sooner. A very highly recommended piece of equipment.
