  • Used for tiling

As a tiler of some 34 years this is the stuff to use. Used for a large area Anhydrite screed with underfloor heating. Quick tip: Water down at least 50/50 and apply. Then apply second coat with 25% water or neat applied diagonal to the first coat. I still get amazed by those who still use PVA. Don't! For any tiling. SBR is the way to go and the low prices here on ebay far outweigh well known brands and suppliers with quick delivery. There are other types of primers so check what type you need for your own particular job. Alhtough this covers most applications.

  • Good product can be awkward to use

When mixed with sand and cement it mixes easily but can start to go off quite quickly and it seems more suited to use in quantity rather than using it for smaller patching jobs as I am doing. I have to mix small quantities then wash my tools and start again. I suspect professional builders find it easier to use on large areas when applied quickly. The suggestion of priming with a liquid mixture of cement and SBR is sensible but I found it very difficult to get them to actually mix. Overall though it seems the render applied with SBR mixed in seems to be very well stuck on my wall which is why I bought it

  • Great for plasterboard

Used on plasterboard prior to tiling. Does put a visible protective layer on. Its white and very sticky but dries pretty clear the tiles stuck firm and fast . Messy but easy to apply and goes a long way

  • Better than pva

So much better than pva. I used this as a sticky cost prior to plastering over artex. Really sticky. It also good as adative to mortar mix for render etc. Well worth the extra money.

  • Great product

Had a slight damp issue on inside wall of Dormer normally use Pva on plaster so after some research of this product and reviews thought I would try. Easy to use with brush or roller. Dries quickly too. Also used it to stick down some wallpaper that kept lifting (still stuck to wall). Will definitely use again I think it’s a brilliant product. I have had no issues with this product and would definitely recommend

  • GOOD STUFF , use it outdoors , dont use PVA - its not waterproof .

excellent product , used it neat in cement mix to fix an ancient concrete garden urn that was broken . its waterproof unlike PVA which is useless outdoors .

  • Economical adhesive many uses

I had been using hybrid adhesive to fix stone cladding to concrete walls which proved be very expensive at £10 a tube, the SBR has been mixed with sand and cement and does a fantastic job and sealer much better than PVA.

  • SBR Bond,

Usually use pva for most jobs that require a prime or bonding agent, but after using SBR Bond, instead I think it's the way forward for piece of mind where a good seal is required

  • Much better than P.V.A.

Good quality product, Just make sure it's mixed properly & keep a bucket of water to hand for your tools as it goes of very quickly. Much better adhesive qualities than PVA.
