I would give box 8/10 for value.
Good little box for money. Try buying 2nd hand as new prices can vary greatly anywhere between £30 and £70 so paying £20 _ £25 is fair. Only issue for me was the tv aspect settings. I still use an old 1996 21" tv in bedroom which requires an aspect of 4:3 letterbox. The instuction manual stated it has this but when recieved box and went to settings it only has standard 4:3 or widescreen. Shame as i bought it for the letterbox setting. Apart from from that box is easy to use and responsive. Recording feature needs a little time to work out abd you need a minimum of 32 gig memiry stick once you have worked out how to work this its a great feature abd eecords clearly with no issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Basic and does the job
Bit of a strange one this...you can't watch one channel and record another, you have to watch what you're recording. It doesnt give you the name of the program its recorded either which is a bit of a pain, so you either have to have a good memory or scroll through everything till you find what you want to watch. You have to buy a 32gb memory stick to record separately, I've read not all makes work but the one I bought does so I guess that was more luck than anything. The buttons on the remote are tiny and a bit all over the place. None of this is negative just takes a bit of getting used to. On the plus its a tiny compact little box so is space saving and easy to install. Its basic and does the job, it reminds me a bit of what a step up from a vhs video recorder would be, so dont expect anything too state of the art. I only paid £20 so cant expect too much but then I really only wanted something to record on now and then as I'm not a huge TV watcher. Great product - EPG average
Great product, well made easy to set up. EPG average as I expected it to display all channels on the left and programmes in time order across the page. The software appears to be poorly designed and thought out
I bought this to provide a means of recording Freeview programs. This it does. It displays HD programs OK and records OK but, with the current number of Freeview programs available, finding one of interest that you may want to display or record can be very frustrating. There appears to be no decent programme listing with picture preview to find out what is on. The favourites channel list does not provide any current programme information or picture. The epg has been very poorly thought out and can end you up with a channel you did not intend to watch or record. The hardware may be reasonable but the software is very disappointing. and have subsequently replaced it with a different and much better thought out box.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Good value but complicated to operate
The product is good value but complicated to operate and the instructions are unclear. The following may help you with recordings :- To schedule a recording :- Timer/ Red button (Add)/ fill in channel, date, start and finish times and change mode from “view” to “record”/ OK/ Exit. To play a recording :- Menu/ blue LH arrow takes you to Media Player/ blue down arrow highlights Media Player/ OK/ OK (PVR)/ OK/ play button. You can then use the play, pause and stop buttons to control the recording. If Start/Resume box comes up, press OK. To delete a recording :- Menu/ blue LH arrow gives you Media Player/ blue down arrow highlights Media Player/ OK/ OK (PVR)/ Yellow button/ OK / OK You cannot watch another channel while it is recording, as it is a single channel device and automatically switches to the channel you wish to record when the time comes.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Not the best.
Doesn't save the details of the program you are recording; just the time, and date of the recording. I can't save the favourite channels like it's supposed to. A bit lethargic reading to, and from the external flash drive. Probably better off with a higher quality flash drive. You can only record the program on at the time. After buiyng this I bought an EMtronics EMFBR128HD 128GB Freeview HD Box Set-Top Digibox Recorder. It has 128GB built in, saves the full program details. With it's loop system you can watch another channel whilst recording from another stream.... and it's cheaper.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
