3 in 1 welder
Not familiar with is brand, but came across it when looking for a new welder. After reading some good reviews I looked at the range to see what suited my needs. Went for the 200amp version. Being an inverter welder the weld current should be smoother than older non inverted welders. Fired it up today and I must say I am impressed with how easy it was to set up and use. Dialled in the speed and power on some scrap metal until I was happy with it. Fantastic bit of kit. Hold up to 5kg wire reel. Would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a new or replacement welder. Will look to see what other kit this brand does and add it to my workshop. Impressive for the money!
The Rohr MIG-200MI welder arrived next day via DPD. A lot of welder for the money. Would be nice if Union Mart did a gas connection kit as it takes a bit of getting your head around what you need regulator and BSP connector wise. For info, the gas connector on the welder is 1/4BSP with an 8mm hose tale. You may need one with a 6mm tail to fit standard 1/4in I/D hose? The regulator for disposable gas bottles should be able to handle 110psi bottle pressure and an output flow of 4 to10l/min (gauge preferable). Saying that, there is plenty of YouTube content on this actual machine, along with plenty of tips! Obviously the machine is made to a price, and with anything like that, I think it is worthwhile to take a little extra time and make sure everything is still 'nice and tight' after transit vibration etc!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sometimes you get more than you pay for!
I'm a total novice at welding, never so much as tried before, this unit was recommended to me by a very skilled welder and fabricator, as a good starter unit. It's an absolutely fantastic piece of kit, easy to use, easy to learn with alongside a far more experienced man than I, he's blown away by its capabilities so far and reckons it outperforms similar kit at twice the money. So far on 3mm box its producing solid welds with good penetration, and not e even at half power. Highly recommended piece of kit, the torch hose and earthing clamp connections are the industry standard too, so up grading or having several types is easy to sort out, or sourcing a longer grounding lead etc. 11/10Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent value and quality - You'll never go back to a transformer mig!
I have been welding for over 30 years and work as a fabricator in a vehicle restoration company so I use a transformer mig most days. I decided to try this for my own use at home for my own projects. I can't fault the welder, very stable smooth arc, good steady wire feed and very controllable with the ability to fine tune settings. The "eurotorch" supplied is extremely flexible, much more so than ones I have used before. I use 5kg rolls of 0.8mm wire which seems to work very well. The only very small niggle is that I would have preferred to have been supplied a length of gas pipe and possibly a few more spare tips/ shrouds in place of a poor quality welding shield and wire brush!! Being an inverter welder, there's no big heavy transformer so it's quite lightweight too.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works well.
First time I've used a MIG with inverter technology and it has proved very successful. Some of the other review comments proved accurate: it was delivered in a very solid crate but this hadn't stopped one of the side door hinge pins falling-out. The door hinges are a weak point. The safety warning sticker is laughably written in non English and the manual, while understandable, is not informative. The machine is set-up for 0.8 mm wire and I used this with fluxes wire to weld sections of 1mm steel into van bodywork. It worked excellently with no spatter (4 and 4 set on the wire speed and Amps). As others say, the LED amp and volt readings can't be seen by the welder while working but I guess an assistant could note them. The machine has a standard UK 3 pin plug and it sufficed for my thin steel welding. Wire feed was smooth, welding torch functional, earth lead good. Surprisingly good welder at a very fair price
I have not had a lot of opportunity to use this machine what with the 'Lockdown' etc. and I have not been able to get any gas so I have not used the MIG function - the MMA bit works fine though. It seems well put together and the leads and earth clamp seem very good for a cheap machine. The manual though is beyond basic and looks as if it is just there to fulfil some regulatory box tick. The same goes for the flimsy plastic shield and brush/hammer. However the welder itself is well worth what I paid for it and I'm very happy I bought it. Will it last?
