Overall a smart, good quality product
Machine arrived in good time and complete with all the parts as described. This was a refurbished product but shows very little sign of any use, the filter was a little discoloured but that was all. It can certainly pick up dust and dirt although I found myself using the boost mode quite often which reduces battery life considerably. I think I will still have to use my corded vacuum from time to time for a really thorough clean but the Vax Blade 2 Max will be excellent for the quick run around the house on a regular basis. Only problem I have found is that when in carpet mode (ie with the brush bar motor rotating) the brush cannot actually rotate on its own at all because it is not just strong enough to overcome the friction of the carpet. absolutely perfect powerful vacuum no bad points whatsoever
the suction is absolutely amazing on this VAX BLADE 2 MAX and on the boost it literally picks the lino up brilliant on hard floors with brushes on it picked currants that i had spilt on the tiles at the side of the rug it picked every one up far far ahead of the VAX blade 1 i think its the MAX ones that are so powerful it proper deep cleans Dog hairs just zoom up it.just lift the vacuum up off the carpet and straight onto the sofa as it is and run it over your sofa and the cushion's too no need to mess about changing tools then straight back on the floor best vacuum ever Its even better than the corded vacuums the pro kit it brilliant too a hose you can attach plus extra long crevice tool that get right down the side of the seats in the car plus a soft dusting brush and a utility nozzle for stairs and upholstery This vacuum is so powerfulVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

5 Stars for the Vax Blade 2 Max 40V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Ever since we got married nearly 40 years ago my wife has been sweeping up with a dustpan and brush. She tried knee protectors but still the pain of crawling about on all fours had got too much for her worn out old knees. I saw an advert for the Vax Blade 2 Max 40V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner and thought that she would find it easier to use now she is full of arthritis. I don’t normally buy her any presents so you can imagine her reaction when she opened the box. After a couple of weeks I asked her what she thought of it. It used to take her several hours to clean the whole house but with this new machine she said she can get round in half an hour providing she uses her inhaler and takes some pain-killers first. She especially likes the fact that it is light weight so she doesn’t get as breathless carrying it up the stairs, and she doesn’t need to kneel down on her painful knees. She likes the fact that it is bagless so it is easy for her to empty it into the dustbin. The suction is really strong which is fortunate since there is a lot of pet hair from our 4 cats and 3 dogs. She doesn’t get as tired which means that after she has cleaned the house she can get on with feeding the animals, chopping some firewood and bringing the logs in without needing a rest beforehand. So, she is very pleased with her Vax Blade 2 Max 40V Cordless Vacuum Cleaner and wouldn’t be without it. She suggests checking on the VAX website to see whether the accessories kit, which includes some really necessary items, is included for the same price. This vacuum sucks!!!
Brilliant vacuum, a little bulkier than the Dyson's but possibly more powerful and certainly loads cheaper. Just like every decent vacuum on the market it really sucks, but in a good way...
