Dewalt battery router
What’s not to love. One handed operation makes this a big bonus . Already it’s saved me loads of time. Could do with a bit more power for slightly larger moulding cutters but that would be a battery drainer. Great router.
Been using this router for hardwood doors. Smoke seals, drop down bars etc. Great router. Feels as good as the corded version. Totally happy with it. Think it will also replace my big router for worktop joints too but haven’t tried that yet. The brake is handy, when you turn it off it stops almost straight away. Handy when you have to keep making adjustments for depth etc. Also I like the sprung locking lever when used as a plunge router. Much easier than my older version. Flexible router for confined areas
This is an easy to use router small enough to use just one hand with the small housing that comes with the kit. It converts to a more conventional configuration using the larger housing. Great tool
I used this to router out smoke seals in 26 fire doors, I was a bit optimistic as it’s only 18v but it went through no problem although it did eat through 5amp batteries but I did expect that. I love it
I now have 5 routers but with this Dewalt compact I will now sell two of my old routers as this one is fantastic. I’ve been using the plunge base for free hand routing signs on wood and it’s fantastic.
