    Sturdy Parasol Base

    Sturdy heavy duty parasol stand with decorative rose base in bronze looks good. Only fault is that the inner plastic is loose and keeps popping out. Other than that I would recommend this product to anyone wanting one and the price is just right.

    Not for smaller parasols

    As the description says it fits parasols up to 50mm I did expect it to be fully adjustable, but it is way off gripping my 22mm parasol base. I will need to pack it out with some material to prevent the parasol blowing around. It is a very attractive object, though.

    Heavy and stable, good looking, value for money.

    It's very heavy which is what you want from an umbrella base. I bought it for extra shade on our little patio by the river next to our house so it stands alone without the support of a table and does the job well. It looks good too.

    Not suitable in the wind

    The standard large heavy cast iron looks and feels like it will be strong enough to hold a pole but it doesn't prevent it blowing over in the wind. The fittings for the pipe has too much movement and the plastic inserts do not hold a pole well enough. The plastic fittings ride up when the screw gets tightened to a pole. Disappointed.

    Ideal parasol base

    Does the job

    Yes it’s heavy and should do the job well enough. However, mine came with no instructions, I emailed the company and was ignored. I have no idea what the plastic insert is meant to be for and I had to get a neighbour to help as the pole kept wobbling so we ended up wedging something in to hold the pole.
