Great with lots of features
If you do not require stabilization that is gimble like, then this is the way to go. I have GoPro 4, 5, and 7. I don't ride off road over bumpy terrain where perfect stability is a plus. Terrbile audio - poor design, GoPro!
I tried two, and both had problems with the 'wind' sound setting. One had no sound, the other a very muffled one. The cameras have in general a terrible and useless sound. The microphones are not isolated from the case, and even touching a pole or gimble will be heard extremely loudly. On top of that, the gain constantly auto-adjusts to the noisiness of the environment. Silence means that the gain goes maximal to a very audible hissing. If one touches the case or records a very loud sound, the audio drops out, then reappears within a few seconds. In summary: completely useless audio unless one records in a medium loud place with constant noise levels.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Nice camera but...
The battery runs down very fast i dont know is it because is refurbished but it only last me 15 minute on fully charge battery on 1080p resolution I tried turning off the hand free feature to see if it would help but no. I think i will buy a new batteryVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

GoPro Hero 5 Black is simply awesome!
I typically get buyers remorse, especially after a big purchase. Not with this GoPro. I absolutely love it! My kid loves it even more. I have captured so many memories in such a short time. The app lets you take small clips from larger videos and share them/save them. It’s super user friendly. I can’t say a bad thing about it. Solid value for the money
Hero 5 Black is great for action, would recommend the Super Suit case if there might be some big impact hits on the camera. Mounts and extras are decent quality but nothing special, although you would expect that for a value priced bundle. Overall a fair purchase. Stopped working after used in water...
This started out being a great little camera...until my son wanted to film a science experiment, underwater. We first made sure it didn’t need any extra external cover/casing, then made sure all of the openings were securely closed. He filmed for approximately 15 minutes, and then...nothing. The camera simply stopped functioning. We thought it was that perhaps the battery hadn’t been fully charged, but, nope. Water behind the LCD screen, water in the battery compartment, memory card compartment, and USB ports. Tried literally everything to get it working again. Not happening. Great camera and reduced price
GoPro Hero 5 Black is a top notch performer that still competes well with the latest GoPro version but since its older can be had at a far better price. I got one new when they came out but after 4 years just decided to quit working and when I found I could get a refurbished rig for about the same price it would cost to get my original one repaired I just bought a refurbished unit, good sharp video and still photo image quality, much improved low light capture versus previous versions, Blue Tooth and wifi connect ability, voice control I mean what is not to love , good full featured action video recorder, for the price these days the Hero 5 Black is hard to beat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Good camera, 1 problem.
I really like the camera, its great for the 100$ price. Unfortunately my camera will not charge using the charging cable. I trouble shot this thing a million times and will not charge from power cable. I ended up buying a battery charger that requires you to pull the battery out of the camera and charge on a stand. I would buy this product again.
My camera is light weight without the plastic cover. It has zoom functions. I mount it on one of my r/c planes, and it's a lot of fun. The mic picks up too much noise for what I use it for. Over all I recommend it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished
