At the reduced price of £115 these headphones are a steal.

At the reduced price of £115 (rrp £280) these headphones are a steal. The sound quality is as good as anything twice the price. Same can be said of their noise-cancelling capability. They are comfortable on-ear headphones that can also be folded flat, so they are perfectly portable and will fit into a small bag or large pocket. The operating features are very user friendly and connect to a Bluetooth source immediately.

quality product, good sound, fair price but uncomfortable on MY ears.

Its really nice quality, compact, adjustable and for a bluetooth speaker is decent sound quality, but nothing special. For my ears/head shape it's uncomfortable after about 15-20 minutes, but that's just me and wouldn't necessarily apply to others. Decent price - for me it doesn't really do the job purely because of the comfort aspect.

  • nice cans

item arrived today & they have been on my ears for the last 7 hours , they are comfortable & hug into the ears but not anywhere near as comfortable as the bose QC models , sound is excellent with or without the NC on the n60 , i was let down when i connected these to my moto 4g & find they dont work with that model , i will just have to persevere with my samsung mp3 player for the time being .. all in all a very nice set of cans for a good price & i would recommend them to anyone

  • High quality Headphones.

I have read and seen video reviews suggesting these headphones are not good. The people producing those reviews has no idea about the sound they are hearing. These headphones are excellent both in sound quality and build. At the original asking price they were punching above their weight, but they are now available at less than half price and are outstanding value for money. The sound is sophisticated and we'll balanced, the active noise cancelling is highly effective and the build quality and comfort are of the highest level. If you have around £100 but fancy a £200+ set of 'phones buy AKG N60NC.

  • Super efficient form factor

Love the design that allows the headphones to fold in a super compact fashion. This is my second pair - unfortunately the first pair's ear cup hinge snapped (where it swivels). Hopefully I'll be able to get it repaired. However, such a superb set of noise cancelling headphones that I've bought another set. Also own Bose 35 Quiet Comfort and whilst these are comfortable and also great for noise cancelling, these are a bit bulky when luggage space is a constraint.

  • A good mid price choice for smaller phones

I bought this for my son who really didn't want huge over ear monsters. He is delighted with their comfort, portability, and sound quality. Whilst he is no audiophile he is certainly aware of decent sounds. Build quality is better than expected. The noise cancelling is an added bonus which I cannot vouch for as he has not used it yet.

  • Great sound and excellent build quality, a worthwhile investment.

AKG make good quality stuff and these are no exception, build quality is excellent and the sound is brilliant. Noise Cancelling is almost total for low freq sounds which includes transport hum etc so ideal for a commute. Batt life v good. High freq blockage is less total but pretty good. I’ve had a pair for nearly a year and totally happy, so I bought this second pair when another member of the family wanted headphones for Christmas, and she’s delighted too!

  • Excellent upgrade

Whilst not in the category of the Bose & the high end Sony 100mx3, or as large, or as expensive, these on ear Noise cancelling headphones from AKG hit the sweet spot for quality & price. The previous version suffered from poorer plastic hinges, these are metal, & the ear cups are larger compared to my wired versions. Also improved is the noise reduction, slightly improved, also the rounded bevels on the cups trim is a welcome improvement, I’d often caught beard / hair in the gap between, which could be quite uncomfortable!. I wear glasses, but these on ear AKGs don’t feel uncomfortable, or press into the ears, the only gripe is the headband, which could do with slightly more padding, but that just maybe the scar I have on the top of my head! The soft carry bag is also an upgrade from the neoprene of earlier incarnations, & seems to be possibly a tough cordura fabric, which will protect from spills etc. There are plenty of decent hard cases for better protection for around £10-£20 if you desire. Sound wise, I’m happy with the reproduction, quite neutral, but not lacking in oomph when required, I use mine on various platforms, music, films, synths & music production, & they don’t disappoint. The noise cancelling seems to have improved, as I’ve been happily oblivious to my kids screaming & fighting on several occasions! this maybe due to the slightly larger cups, or an upgrade, or both. Bluetooth has worked very well apart from one or two occasions, once due to low battery, the other remedied by turning Bluetooth off & on again. Overall, for the £70 I paid for these, I feel they’ve a great buy.

  • Happy ever after.

Scepticle as I historically have used wired H/P's. General quality of the cheaper ones I have tried in the past have been mixed, moderate to poor. So I ordered these with higher hopes. Wow, these are quality at a reasonable asking price. I found them light but well built. They look good, feel good. I found them very easy to use and the sound quality is absolute pleasure. I have recently tried a H/P that was retailing for £400+ and can honestly say these were far better sound wise. You can use them wired or wireless. I only use these wireless but, hey I'm happy. I have read a lot of reviews on these and find some of them questionable? (i.e. Motive or agenda?) I feel so happy I chose to go with these. I would add, you don't win a What HiFi award for nothing. Try them.

  • Excellent

After using cheaper headphones for the last couple of years there really is a striking difference. Very well balanced, open and clear without the overblown bass which more and more manufacturers feel is what people want. There is a slight background hiss which is not a fault but comes with wireless technology and is evident in even top end headphones. When used without Bluetooth and wired the hiss disappears. Pretty well made although you won’t want to use them when exercising as they will move on your head. They are well padded and in my view very comfortable. At the price point they are at now ( they were around £250 at one point) they are good value for money and you won’t be disappointed.
