  • Great Access Point But..

I had some issues which weren't hard to take care of. The first being the reseller was in the EU. So when the unit came it had a European power plug. The power supply was universal so all I needed was a new power cord which I had on hand. Secondly Ubiquiti billed the new AP as being able to use the original mounting base from the Unifi AP Pro. That was not the case so I had to use the base that came with new AP. Also not a big deal but it required drilling new holes in the ceiling. Other than those issues you cannot beat this AP for price and performance. Even with the shipping from the EU it was cheaper than any place else I've looked.

  • Excellent piece of hardware and software!

This one AP covers my whole 3000sqf house. Setup was a breeze. I just hooked it up to CAT5 and boom! It lit up, booted up and I have Wi-Fi in my house. I just had to screw it to the ceiling in my basement roughly in the middle of the house and that's it! I like that it is powered thru CAT5 wire and no outlets needed. Feels a good quality, has a wonderful easy to use software. Link quality is great, I run 15 wireless devices with no issues.

  • Great once you learn enough/ know enough to set up and use.

Coming from the consumer router all in one box to Ubiquiti is like finding out about another dimension. This means that you need some time to digest all the configuration settings and plan your approach to implementing the hardware. Generally, I found the official unifi forum to have a great wealth of information to get you most of the way there and the rest is a bit of trial and error/experimentation. I also found that disabling most of the automated optimization and AI features got rid of most issues I was experiencing. The last part was figuring out I had "problem" clients that kept creating issues for the whole network. Adding a second AP helped curb most of this but ultimately the network ran better without them (Google Pixel). The hardware and software is rock solid from an inexperienced home user perspective.

  • Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-PRO 1750Mbps Wireless Access Point Works!

I have been a fan of Ubiquiti AP adopted the PoE made instllation/extension simple and easy. Windows apps and mobile apps. This 1750 Mbps one is the fastest and reach pretty far. There was a need in our church to extend the wifi to the other building. Bought a 48V PoE switch along with this AP. run a Ethernet cable about 50ft through old drop ceiling (not fun) and attached the AP on the window with a 3M sticky double sided tape. It works going through two concrete walls about 50 feet away straight line, it works. We need to broadcast a stream through youtube. And 5 down stream for zoom meetings (bible study) I could not use those mesh network because the one I can afford needs to replace the existing router, that was not an option.

  • Improved my home wireless network tremendously.

This purchase was my fourth UAP-AC-Pro. I use them throughout my home to provide denser coverage of my home. I had one small area of my home that was a bit weak in WiFi. Granted, this area was just a corner of my property, but now my entire property is well covered. Now, ALL areas inside my house have no worse than -50dB signal strength on 5 GHz and everywhere, including the extents of my property lines, does no worse than -55dB on 2.4 GHz. My home network has numerous VLANs that are kept isolated for security reasons; keeping guests, surveillance cameras, Internet-of-Things devices on separate networks from my "home" devices. Ubiquiti's infrastructure makes managing these separate networks simple and painless when expanding to more access points.

  • they do they JOB, no worries

Good simple unit! it just works Had to upgrade when older unit went out of support. already had a Ubiquiti setup. They work, a no worry item of the network. It is an much quicker unit than UAP model it replaces In my network, it was: plug it in, adopted it, setup a nickname and change from dynamic to static IP. it was already at the current firmware. the site setting can from the server and that was it .. up and going the devices started to use it .. quick easy and painless

  • Top tier AP

These are great quality APs. If you're looking at them, you probably already know about Ubiquiti gear and the Unifi product line. Not much to say beyond what you can find written about these from big review sources. Setup is easy. High quality. Great performance.

  • Best entry level access point for home or small business

The ease of mounting, speeds and data it can handle are above all others. For a cheaper entry level than Cisco for a small business and home use it is worth every penny. It holds a steady speed and has great range. Slim and low profile design is barely noticeable mounted on ceiling.

  • Easy to set up, professional quality, competitive price

I purchased this product to replace one I accidentally damaged during installation. Its low profile and light weight actually made it a little hard to hold while climbing a ladder to install it on a ceiling; I dropped it and unknowingly damaged it internally. About 14 months later, I started getting intermittent network disconnections that lasted from a few seconds to a few minutes. It took me about another 4 months to notice the active light on the access point was flickering. Because these units are not terribly expensive, I took the chance on buying a replacement. That cleared up my problem, which I obviously caused. The new unit was delivered marked "Fragile - Do Not Drop". Point taken. The seller was friendly, answered my questions, had the unit delivered a couple days early, and the new unit snapped into place and was reconfigured within 10 minutes. It worked and I'm a happy camper.

  • Great product, good range and set of capabilities

I have many of these APs already and they're great! The dual ethernet on these for me is also essential so I can keep devices wired to ethernet plus have an AP using a single port without the need to add more switches etc.
