Good value and great features
Item arrived a few days late but trucking firm was good communicator. Unpacking went well. Owners Manual seemed well-written but the sequence of steps was confusing. Handles, once attached (easy,) are flimsy and I predict they will fail at some point, as their connection to frame has already bent a few times. Generator itself is really well designed. Started up great, There are some nice features which are not advertised, such as the multi-meter, battery switch, included selection of plugs up to 50A, and choke lever (not in the book either.) Maintenance section is well written and makes sense, as I keep my equipment up to par. My last generator, Honda es6500, is 22 years old and runs/looks like new - -it is just too small (Wattage output) to keep up with current household demands. I have not really tested this new generator under load over several hours, but I believe that given the power output specs I should be in good shape. I will revise this review once I have solid opportunity to run the generator under load for a period of several hours/days. I would rate this 5 stars if the handles were better, book was not confusing and I had positive under-load experience.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Amazing machine
This is one of the nicest generators I’ve seen. The price is perfect. It’s very easy to set up, the instructions were very easy to follow. The dual fuel is an awesome addition. I hooked to a propane bottle and pushed the start button and it fired right up. One nice thing is you don’t have to worry about the choke it’s automatic! I highly recommend this machine to anyone for back feeder you home during a power outage. It runs everything in mine including a well pump, AC/heat pump and a septic system. Great value Great product.
I really like how it was packaged. Including the nice foam to put the generator upside down to work on is great. The construction is great. The ease of getting it ready is great. Having a sealed battery really helps. I can’t wait to need it to run the house. I have another brand generator and the 50 amp plug is above the wheel and with the heavy duty cord it was hard to plug it in. This gen is low noise, it was easy set up, under 100 lbs so can move around as needed. Read and follow set up instructions!! Good Product
Great generator, will be used for powering a whole house. Some issues putting it together, mainly having to get some long metric sockets. Also, there was no indication on the install guide that the negative wire was not attached and there was no indications of where the negative was located. a small tag would be helpful. Holy Smokes! Best portable generator I’ve ever used!
Right out of the box this is an impressive unit. Having read the manual and reviews online prior to purchasing I was ready for anything. What I got was everything as advertised and with a smile!!! Got the unit prepped and fired up running my shop in less than a half hour! It is an absolutely beautiful machine and came with everything it was supposed to, as advertised. It even throttled down to idle on propane with no load, after properly warmed up. I can’t wait to need it in an emergency! I know it will perform! The outward appearance of quality is not just skin deep but throughout this machines. The 500cc engine is a true beast, visually as well as performance! No extra cooling tins because they’re cast into the block! Truly impressive! Many kudos to Duromax for US quality and performance at a very reasonable price!!! I love this generator. We lost power a few days ago in my country and spent 3 nights no power. I'd decided to pursue this baby arrived a few days later. Unfortunately, the power company finally fixed the power. I tested it out, and it worked great. So next we lost power again I'll be ready. Great generator
Nice generator for what it cost. Easy to assemble (the only assembly needed was the handles and wheels.) There was a dent in one of the panels from shipping but it was just a panel and nothing mechanical or structural.
