Cheap Little Monster!
Introduction: I had been using my old WIFI adapter for years which only gave me 41 Mbps which was nearly half the speed I have in plan. So, I thought I would order a new one which was cheap and reliable. I looked through eBay and I found this product which had several good ratings. It was also £5.99 which was relatively cheap for a WIFI adapter. Purchase & Delivery: Therefore, I made the purchase which came within 2 days earlier than I expected. Once it arrived I opened the packaging; there was no damage just a simple packet which included adapter, manual and a CD. Then, I inserted the WIFI adapter and installed the driver on my PC. Within few minutes it was completed. Finally, I could start the speed test which I performed the test twice. Testing: The first test I received speed of 68 Mbps and the second test I received the speed of 110Mbps! That's 10 Mbps extra to my current plan (100 Mbps) which was pretty insane given that my PC is quite far from the router. Overall: i would definitely recommend buying this WIFI adapter if you are not getting the speed you are expect to. Additionally, you can also throw away that Ethernet wire and buy this. There isn't much difference wired or wireless with this Cheap Little Monster! Great little gizmo, no good for me
after reading some of the other reviews I decided to buy this dongle but unfortunately it does not work for me in my attic space as it keeps changing its chanel, one second on 36 then on 12 then 1 then, well you get it. it did boost my speed, ( I used "Which Magazine" gizmo to test). below ground (basement) ground and first floor it seemed to work fine but as I'm 99% working from the attic it not so great and i've brought an ethernet cable instead. Oh comes with a little booklet of instructions which eases the installation process. Overall great little gizmo, no good for me.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

brilliantly quick easy to install bargain!
this came and has exceeded my expectations set up took a little while from small cd but to my surprise it came up as a raylink which is a quality product , once set up it immediately found my wireless routers output on both the higher and lower bands , installed password and hey presto 68 meg speed almost as fast as wired router running at 78meg , I bought this after trying another well known more expensive make which I took back as too slow. this is an excellent usb wireless card easy to install and very fast , it has revitalised an older wireless laptop so if your older laptop needs faster wireless this is perfect My view is top marks bargain A+++++Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Credit due to supplier
Due to my old fashioned PC the Network Dongle Adapter supplied, did not appear to be suitable. I reported this to the supplier who went far beyond my expectation to look into the problem and sourced a suitable driver from abroad to enable me set up the devise. This was for no extra cost. Fantastic!
This is a brilliant little device! It's just a tiny little thing but the build quality is good. Works amazingly well for the size. I had seen others with an antenna and wondered if this one would be compromised without one, no way! Quite amazing actually, how well it works considering how small it is, and how simple it is to install and configure. I was a bit confused at first about the "dual band". I just wanted a wifi device to connect a desktop PC to my router. Didn't know what the dual band meant. Wasn't sure if that was for a particular application where you might need two bands for some reason. In any case, it worked great on the old desktop (running Windows XP Professional SP3 - won't work on anything less - tried it on Windows XP Home and it didn't work due to that operating system not having a file to support it, no fault of the device). I was a bit dismayed when I opened the padded envelope that it arrived in. The device had just been chucked in the envelope. No packaging of any sort, not even a plastic bag. The picture on the listing gave me the impression that it might come boxed or on a card. The original dismay is long gone, it's a cracking wee thing! The instructions are very good, only written in pretty-good English, quite detailed with good pictures. Also comes with a tiny CD for the software. You end up with a program to configure the device, enter your wifi password etc. I just leave the device connected to the desktop (on a USB port on the back). When the machine starts, it automatically connects to the internet. I get a very good signal to the wifi router. Same as my "relatively" new laptop. It shows 72Mb/s which is way more than my router can actually download. I suppose the much higher maximum figures would apply if your router was pushing out that amount of transfer. I love it, it's brilliant. I can't imagine why you would get one with a big antenna sticking out of it, or an in-built one on a PCI card.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Size isn't everything..
Great Gizmo but there is a problem if you want to use it with a Mac, this is my reason for not giving 5 stars :- The supplied Mini disk cannot be loaded into a Mac Superdrive - DO NOT TRY AS IT WILL GET STUCK IN YOUR MACHINE ! After much searching I found suitable Drivers (ebay won't let me attach a link but I found them at google drive) Once up and running this is a great little device, which can be left in place as it's small size makes it very unobtrusive. I now have Wifi again on my MacBook, this has replaced the internal 'Airport' WiFi which is kaput and all for under £7 - Bargain !

Works great on windows only. Don't get if you use linux
While I can't speak for Mac users the Linux support is useless. The included drivers are broken and won't build and it doesn't work out of the box. Search on Google for rtl8821CU drivers by a GitHub user brektrou (it works but use at own risk) , those seem to work, though some build knowledge is required.That aside it works very well on windows and it's driver seems stable, range is pretty good and the shipping was fast.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap upgrade for faster connection
