Good sized charcoal pieces with an even burn.
I have been disappointed in the past with lumpwood charcoal bought from the supermarket. We had the family (10 of us) for a BBQ this weekend. I was delighted firstly with the good sized lumps in the bag. They were not too big nor too small - and there was not much dust. Dissapointed - certainly not premium charcoal
Finally its bbq weather and on opening one of the bags it's clear this is cheap charcoal as the bits are barely the size of a Brazil nut! The stuff they sell in tesco is better, lumpwood charcoal it is not!!! Can't believe I've got three bags of it.......

Easy to light and nice even burn.
Bought 10 bags to last the summer. It was delivered in two boxes within three days of the order. 5kg bags easy to handle when filling the BQQ. Pieces in the bag I have opened are not overly big but nice size for a normal home BBQ, made a nice cone shape pile with a bit of lighter fuel and lit evenly. At last, quality charcoal
I have been searching for some decent charcoal for a few years and at last I’ve found a source. The pieces are evenly sized, heat quickly and don’t appear to give off too many unwanted contaminants. Amazing Stuff!
I have BBQed since the 80's and have NEVER used charcoal as good as this and i would Not buy any other. The quality is superb and the charcoal gives off great heat and is easy to light too! I spray a 1/4 bottle of lighter fluid (Not gel!), leave it for ten minutes, then spray another 1/4 bottle on. leave it for 5 more minutes, then light at a safe distance. You do not need as much charcoal as the quality is so good which works out far cheaper in the long run. I cannot fault the product, price or service! 10/10!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesome charcoal
This charcoal is nothing short of brilliant. It’s in manageable pieces, nothing is too big or too small. I was shocked how easy to light it was, one firelighter and a chimney starter had me cooking within 20 minutes. Heat level was really good and it stayed at a cooking level for 2 hours on a small travel bbq. Taste on the food was great with no bad smells. Much better than the stuff sold in blue bags. I will definitely be making a repeat purchase. 10/10.

Premium? Real? Lumpwood Charcoal.
I can't say I saw anything noticeably different while using this premium charcoal to my usual bags of supermarket instant light stuff regarding the heat. The lumps were bigger and I expected it to burn longer, if it did I wasn't aware. It's a lot dirtier than just lighting the paper bags on the instant light stuff because you need to break up fire lighters and stack the charcoals over the top.
