I bought this product for my hp pavilion 15 - ba 051wm although it was not advertised for that at the time of my purchase.I looked at the dimensions, seeing a small variation, I took a chance and couldn't be happier. This fits perfectly. I love the look of my computer and the benifit of protecting it from smudges and dust and scratches.The legs help keep the screen sngled properly .I had bought another before my hp envy dv6 five years ago and loved it.Apart from the legs having broken,it has served me well. This is a product I would recommend to all computer owners,if you love keeping your computer free of dust and any smudges. I wish they had one for hp pavilion 17.3 laptops well. I bought this for an hp pavilion laptop. Not only does it fit perfectly but I no longer have to worry about surface scratches. The legs on the bottom are perfect for my college lectures. Works as described. The cover easily clips onto the laptop and protects it from scratches. I ordered the clear cover because I like the laptop cover color and design. I don't think this cover will protect the laptop if it is dropped, but it definitely protects against scratches and dings.
