Great value for money, works very well when you are line of sight to cell tower.
Product worked straight out of the box. The User Interface is a little lacking and the included instructions do not tell you how to change the UI display. There are two options of UI display once you have signed in being mobile/PC and it seems to favour the smaller mobile display, but by toggling the PC/Mobile the UI will change to something more useful. The unit works very well, we are line of sight to the cell tower, but its 6 miles away, we are still seeing 120/8 Mbps after careful positioning with 3 out of 5 bar level on signal strength, so the internal antennas are quite reasonable.. The unit is 3 branded, but unlocked, we used a Smarty SIM and it works perfectly. Just need to make sure you use the largest of the SIM sizes to fit into the routers SIM reciever. Fast and feature rich
I am getting three times the 4G/LTE speeds from this ZTE router, up to 90Mbps, than I got from my old D-Link in the same location. That alone is worth the 80 quid, but the ZTE also allows an ordinary telephone to be plugged in to make calls on voLTE. Many configuration options, some of which can get you into trouble, but I would rather have them accessible than blocked off. Simple product to install
Very simple to set up, put a SIM card into the slot and plug a “landline” phone into the router and it’s up and running. The phone plug in is an RJ11 plug, but adapters for a BT phone plug are available. Works with cordless phones, just like a landline. This would be a good product if working but the sim card opening is poorly manufactured.
Seller obviously did not check the router prior to it leaving premises as it is not accepting a sim card.
