No base coat needed
Very good paint, does not need a basecoat. I used it on plain wood picture frames with no undercoat, also on a resin water fountain and it worked fine on both of those things.

Far too messy
The spray didn’t go where directed and made a lot of mess of the surrounding areas despite putting sheets down . Not sure if I applied wrong but didn’t look good on metal and easily scratched off after 24 hours drying time . Prob fine for items that don’t get used often ( I was doing a letterbox , door handle and door knocker )

Good but the nozzel could be made more effective.
