  • This one works!

We had a beautiful Marble top on our island ... and within 6 months it was "ruined." Huge rings, spots, etc all over it. We didn't think we had put anything like orange juice or margaritas on it the whole time. I called a pro to come and re-polish it - 4 hour and $350 later it looked like new again. It was Christmas and we were cooking, but I put down "covers in most places we worked. When we cleaned up a few hours later - more rings and spots! I read that just water can "leach" the calcium out of the marble and make an etching spot or ring. This was just 2 days after paying the guy to re polish it! So frustrated! I read several reviews and found this product - they said it really did the job. So I ordered it and some sealer they recommended too. Now, this stuff looks like "fine sand in a jar or water". it settles out and has to be stirred almost every minute... and when you put a dab on your rag and start polishing you would swear you were about to make the marble top all scratched because this is so coarse. But it works. Some deep etches might take 2-4 minutes of circular polishing ... and it is easy to see if it worked. Just wipe with a wet paper towel, then dry with a cloth and look. I was done in about 15 minutes with all the new rings and spots we had gotten. We coated the top afterward with TENAX pro seal - 250ml ... which it simply applied with a new and soap free sponge. Some sponges have soap in them and that would cloud it up. Use a dry clean sponge and simply mop it on the top and it will dry. Water then "beads up" on the top, rather than soaks in. Reapply this every few months. It has been 3 weeks since, and we haven't gotten a spot yet. Yay!

  • Great Stuff

I was a little skeptical of whether this stuff would actually work, but it took the etch marks out of my marble beautifully! The marble looked brand new after using it. I highly recommend it.

  • Lustro Italiano Etch Remover

Naturally, I was sceptical however, I was pleasantly surprised. It takes a bit of elbow grease but it definitely works. I used it on travertine and marble and it removed the etching on both. I highly recommend this product.

  • Sure didn't work for me!

Save your money and call someone that specializes in polishing marble. Tried this, it was messy, and didn't do a bloody thing. Called a Marble restoration guy and he polished the entire eight foot slab for a little over $100.

  • Removes etches? Laughable indeed!

I bought to remove very mild etching. I followed instructions completely but to absolutely no avail. I doubt this stuff would even remove any form of soap scum.

  • Worked Great

It removed the marks on my marble counter top and made it shine. Takes some time and elbow grease, but it worked!

  • Removed blemish, but required several application, and a bit of elbow grease. Great for small, high visibility areas, but not for large repairs.
