    Really pleased with it. 👍

Great little instrument especially for the price and nicely made. Really pleased with it. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it's the first tin whistle I've ever tried so there might be better ones for the more experienced players out there.

Fine for the money - I enjoy it ... a classic sound

I've heard some people give this whistle a bad rep, but honestly I think it's fine for basic purposes. It has a classic old style sound that is both warm and clear and a little hoarse which I personally like. Does it squeak a bit, particularly in the upper register? Sure - but then again isn't that part of that type of sound? It responds fairly dynamically and has what I would call a cheerier or slightly more top-endy sound than my brass generation, and perhaps it's a little louder too. I find them ballpark comparable, style and tonewise. Some say this ones hard to play outside when it's cold and windy, but I guess don't do that then :D I have been a musician all my life but I am new to the tin whistle. I started out on a Clarke "the meg" and I definitely find the feadog one easier to play both in terms of producing a stable sound, and doing slides and ornaments. Tastes may vary from person to person but this is not at all a bad product in this price range.

  • New penny whistle

Happy with this. Like most simple things it's not as easy as it looks but with restraint even I can get a decent note out of it, as it is well intonated.

  • Fun to learn a new skill

The tricky thing about the tin whistle is the notes that aren't easily played, but still a great deal of fun. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube. Enjoy!

  • I highly recommend the Feadog D whistle.

Beautiful tone, takes very little breath and doesn’t sqeak or squawk like some tin whistles do.
