Decent bread tin with really high sides and plenty of capacity
I bake my own bread because decent wholemeal isn't available in some parts of the UK. I had a set of smallish tins 1-2lb, but found that I was baking several times a week, or having to fill the freezer and keep hauling new loaves out. Now I can bake a decent sized loaf when we have visitors and it's less likely to overflow the sides of the tin when I try to cram too much dough in!
It's not the heaviest tin, but the edges are snug and well made and the size is stupendous!
Note: if you're not used to large bakes, change your oven temperature don when the loaf is well browned in a hot oven and let it finish at a lower temperature to make sure it's baked all the way through.
