Inexpensive, good performance, but tricky install for Linux
I have this installed on a Linux based system, and it is NOT supported in the kernel. It is supported with a user mode driver and does function properly, but it installing this driver REQUIRES kernel compiling and installing Dell's Kernel Make build sub-system. I recommend this device as the price fit the need, but for less then expert Linux users, I would recommend using a device that is supported in the kernel directly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

USB wifi for work computer

Have a high end NAS. When purchased I had the option for wireless and decided to forgo the expense. Come to find out the wifi was proprietary and couldn't find one the NAS would recognize. Sure enough the ASUS AC56 was the only one the NAS recognize and shows in the NAS bios as ASUS AC56. speed is phenomenal and to date has not caused any problems. Range is excellent. Plug and play worked nice and fast.
Old USB adapter was painfully slow... I knew I had to put something better with no fuss. This one is in the right price spot. I though it was to show some use or wear but looks totally new. Installation on a Windows 10 system with no issues, worked plug & play. Speed is awesome now.
