Excellent and well made boardgame to those who love D&D and want premade adventures or want to solo without a DM
Caste Ravenloft is a D&D Boardgame, it is not an RPG. With that said I need to remark that this game is a masterpiece really well made for those like me who did not have time, nor expertise, to make a custom D&D adventure. This boardgame comes with everything you need to start an adventure without a DM and books. You need to follow specific set of instructions, that may seem repetitive but you get accustomed to it. Everything is really well made, quality figures (that you can use in traditional D&D RPG games), sturdy Dungeon Tiles (that generates a random dungeon everytime you play), Monster cards, Encounter cards (cards that make the adventure spicy like a really mad and crazy DM), Heroes and Villains cards, and a lot of tokens (HP, status, etc.). At first, when you start to know the game, it may seem that everything is against your odds. Lot of monsters appear and the Encounter cards give you a storm of negative events, but when you gather experience you learn to play more strategically despite the seemingly repetitive turn based session. Its a really well made boardgame that I appreciate a lot, coz you can even play it alone and enjoy it in solitude. D&D Castle Ravenloft
I bought D&D Castle Ravenloft because one person can play all adventures, you can control 1 to 5 heroes by yourself just as you would a D&D video game. Your team plays against the game, which is very well balanced if you follow the rules. Creator's put a lot of thought into these games.
