Well-built, stainless steel basket, made in Poland, works well.
It's not compact: it's an XL so it's big, but the basket holding food is small (relatively compared to the whole thing).
It's not easy to operate, again, relatively. I bought a Cosori as well and the Cosori has preset options and the control panel is very straightforward.
It's not easy to clean, but this is because the basket is designed that way: stainless steel vs. non-stick. I bought it for that reason. I don't like nonstick stuff.
It's not quiet. But not too loud either.
It's well-built, and it's not made in China.
We've used it for a few things and found that it's excellent for frozen fish sticks. We don't have to turn on the huge oven, and the food cooks super fast; it comes out crispy and really hot inside (like what you would get with a microwave) so we know that it's cooked well. It's a perfect combination of a microwave and an oven. It's also wonderful for reheating pizzas, or reheating any fried foods.
The bacon wrapped shrimp we did was wonderful. The first time I did it, I set the temp at 390 and the smoke was so bad I thought I had a defective item. But next time I set it at 360 and cooked a little longer. Perfect. No smoke. Pieces were evenly cooked if I only set on layer. If I do two layers, I have to move them around half way through. Oh, did I mention that once I've figured this thing out, I never had to worry about burning my food? I just turn it on and go do something else.
In short, we are very happy with it. However, we bought it as a open box model at a deep discounted price. We would not pay a full price for it because as I said, except for the stainless steel basket and "made-in Poland," I don't think it's anything special.
