Well-built, stainless steel basket, made in Poland, works well.

It's not compact: it's an XL so it's big, but the basket holding food is small (relatively compared to the whole thing). It's not easy to operate, again, relatively. I bought a Cosori as well and the Cosori has preset options and the control panel is very straightforward. It's not easy to clean, but this is because the basket is designed that way: stainless steel vs. non-stick. I bought it for that reason. I don't like nonstick stuff. It's not quiet. But not too loud either. It's well-built, and it's not made in China. We've used it for a few things and found that it's excellent for frozen fish sticks. We don't have to turn on the huge oven, and the food cooks super fast; it comes out crispy and really hot inside (like what you would get with a microwave) so we know that it's cooked well. It's a perfect combination of a microwave and an oven. It's also wonderful for reheating pizzas, or reheating any fried foods. The bacon wrapped shrimp we did was wonderful. The first time I did it, I set the temp at 390 and the smoke was so bad I thought I had a defective item. But next time I set it at 360 and cooked a little longer. Perfect. No smoke. Pieces were evenly cooked if I only set on layer. If I do two layers, I have to move them around half way through. Oh, did I mention that once I've figured this thing out, I never had to worry about burning my food? I just turn it on and go do something else. In short, we are very happy with it. However, we bought it as a open box model at a deep discounted price. We would not pay a full price for it because as I said, except for the stainless steel basket and "made-in Poland," I don't think it's anything special.

  • Love this air fryer!

The air fryer we received was like brand new. We have used it for almost every meal since we got it. The food is amazing and cleanup is a breeze! I don’t how we got along so long without owning one. We recently used it to cook frozen French fries and they came out amazing!

  • BUY THIS PHILLIPS AIR FRYER.

Best money I ever spent!!! If you like fried foods THIS GADGET IS A MUST!!! So easy to clean. What I do is after I use it and let it cool down I immediately let the 2 basket pieces soak over night and the next day when I clean it, all the burnt remnants just slides right out under running water without having to scrub. I use it almost everyday!

  • Needs a better cookbook to come with it and Potatoes are user friendly for cooking in it

What we have tried so far has been good. The cook book is extremely limited, however, so some of the cooking is guess work. Also, I was disappointed to discover I had to precook the potatoes for potato wedges and place potatoes in ice water til cooled to cook. This ended up being nearly an hour job if not more. Also, for regular FF, you have to place in cold water for 30 minutes. I hope there are going to be too many more surprises.

  • 9240

Hey, EXCELLENT! It has replaced the microwave for me and for healthier and better tasting food. It is a miniature convection oven for one person. Very simple, easy to clean and cooks at a higher temperature than a microwave.

  • Extra large air fryer

I had a smaller version that I dropped and broke. I decided to buy the larger version this time. It's great. Far less oil is used, it's fast and the food comes out just right. They do much more than just fry potatoes. Yesterday, I cooked a whole 4 lb chicken. You can even bake in them. The only down side is this larger one is not quite as easy to clean as the smaller one. It's ok, just not as easy. They're two different designs. Still, I would buy the larger one. The smaller one is just not quite large enough and there's just the two of us.

  • Philips Avance XL Airfyer is a winner!

This is my first air fryer, and I've only used it a few times, but I'm finding that I really like it. It isn't small, but I was happy that it doesn't seem nearly as big to me as some have described. It sits easily in a corner under my kitchen cabinets and I don't feel like it's "too much" for the area. As everyone else says, you may have to experiment a bit to get things just right, but you can easily stop/restart it to check progress. You can also easily find cook times for this model, along with other recipes on google and there are tons of You Tube videos that are helpful too. And best of all...cleanup is SO easy, which is probably why I find myself choosing the air fryer to cook whenever I possibly can. One more thing...cooking smells are minimized and that's another real plus!

  • Good stuff

I am learning about this and am amazed that with minimum oil it produces such a crust exterior! But you need to spray stuff with oil or it will just get hard. I dusted bone-in chicken thighs ( skinless) with HOUSE-AUTRY chicken seasoning breaking mix. Then dipped in beaten eggs and then dipped again in breaking mix. Sprayed with oil. Amazing!!!!

  • Had concerns about an air fryer - this product is well worth the money

Out of the box and it did prime rib and it was moist and tender with in 12 minutes. No fuse like when using a stove or oven 6 minutes at 360 and 6 min at 150 Cut store potato soaked in water for 30 mins and had crispy fries.
