This entertainment system enables you to watch movies or sporting events in high definition. You can also watch videos in 3D, depending on your personal preference. USB devices can be connected to this unit, making it easy to set up your movies or television shows. It also has built-in Wi-Fi, so you can quickly sync up song playlists or movie titles. You can also connect your smartphone to this Sony Blu-ray device. It features one-touch Bluetooth so that you can play music, audio books, or podcasts from your phone. This smart player also includes a browser with point-and-click access to Hulu, Netflix, and Pandora. The full HD of this BDVE2100 model allows you to enjoy fast-paced action movies as well as video games. You can connect this type of entertainment system to your TVs through the HDMI output. If you have an older TV, it also includes composite video input. With a full 1080 pixel resolution, the image quality is crisp and clear.The audio speakers offer quality sound that is analogous to a real movie theater experience. With 1,000 watts of power behind them, this home cinema speaker pair projects sound throughout the entire room. This product has a full-range bass reflex speaker system and a 6.3-inch subwoofer. It incorporates Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic adaptive matrix surround decoding so that every Blu-ray movie sounds like you're in a theater. You can watch a Blu-ray disc or DVD and enjoy a fully immersive audio experience. The other connections featured on these Sony systems include a standard 3.5mm jack for headphones. Once you connect your headphones, the sounds are diverted from the speakers. The unit also has cables for all of the accessories. The surround speaker's cable measures 24 feet in length, and the cables for the other units measure 12 feet in length. It has TV digital in, left, right, and center audio output, and BD/DVD/CD mode connectors. Its built-in subwoofer delivers 250 watts at 6 ohms of resistance when operating at a frequency of 80 Hz. This allows you to experience deep bass. It also provides 125 watts per channel at 3 ohms resistance and 1 KHz with 1% THD. This ensures a crispness to each voice or note.You have access to a remote control to help you easily make adjustments to the product. The remote control operates on two AA alkaline batteries. With the remote, you can surf the internet or log into the digital Sony Entertainment Network. You can also use the remote to access the built-in web browser and search for television shows or movies to stream. You can even use the web browser to check your email, the weather, or set the sleep timer. This BDV-E2100 comes with an owner's manual that explains how to set up the device. Beware! 3D is not 4K!!!
The system is fine, and easy to use. I like it; however, I was ignorant about the terminology. I thought 3D and 4K were basically the same, and they are completely different. A 4K will not play on this system. The System sound is good; however, there is a maximum level as to the volume you can turn it up to. Not a problem in my home as we sit relatively close to the action. I would have liked a 4K system, and a system that allows you to individually adjust each speaker. Turn the volume up and all speakers go up simultaneously just like on your TV. You cannot adjust for distance of speakers. No fine tuning, and No 4K. So no 5 Stars from me. You need a 3D TV (I have a 4K) and you need 3D glasses (I don't have them), and so this system is a basic Blu-ray system as far as I'm concerned. This is an excellent surround sound system for our motorhome! The only draw back with the Sony System is they do not support the Plex Media Sharing Apps!! Other than that it is a great system. 'almost perfect'

Been using for 2 years and still holding strong
This Blu-ray system is terrific. It is attractive, easy to set up and use, and comes with just about every feature you could want. The sound is powerful and quite pleasing; when turned up loud enough, it feels as if you are in a movie theatre with the deep booms. My only complaints: I wish you could modify the individual aspects of the sound (i.e. treble, mid, bass, sub) as opposed to just changing the mode (auto, movie, music). There are occasional connectivity issues or problems reading digital files, but they never last: restarting the device usually fixes it immediately. This is the second Sony system I've had, I wanted a blu- ray system without having to have 2 oieces so I bought an Rca system at Wal-Mart on sale and was thoroughly dissappointed. I went on Ebay and ordered the Sony, It is like comparing a volkswagon to a caddilac. If I had to do over, I would NOT !!!!!!

Nice looking and great sound
I've only had it for a few days but right off the back the system looks very good. It's easy to use and with only two front speakers currently connected the sound is very loud.
