This limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL Mario and Luigi Dream Team handheld game system bundle comes pre-installed with a copy of the popular Mario and Luigi: Dream Team game. It also has a sleek silver and black color scheme, which is offset by the iconic figures of Mario and Luigi outlined in gold. Bringing an ever-growing library of more than 1,000 games to life, the Nintendo 3DS XL uses sophisticated optical technology to present crisp 3D game visuals without the need for special glasses. Unlike comparable mobile and handheld gaming systems, the Nintendo 3DS XL also makes use of a face-tracking feature to maintain the stability of 3D images, regardless of how the screen may be tilted in relation to the eyes while playing a game. Games are controlled by a responsive C stick, D-pad, and face buttons as well as the ZL and ZR shoulder buttons, and the device's camera. The Nintendo 3DS also comes with an integrated accelerometer and gyro sensitivity, special hardware that is incorporated into games in a variety of ways. It can even be used as a pedometer to track motion. With both front and rear cameras, the device can be used to take and save digital photographs on the fly, including 3D photographs using the rear camera. Wireless networking also enables easy sharing of photos, music, and other files between the device and nearby PCs. This also means that Nintendo 3DS games can be easily transferred to a PC in preparation for transfer to a Nintendo 3DS XL. An improved Internet browsing interface lets users surf the Web to watch video and check emails like never before on a Nintendo handheld system, making use of the shoulder buttons to switch tabs and the C stick to zoom in. Better than original?
A while back i owned the 3ds, the red one, around the time when the 3ds was first introduced. That particular 3ds of course was not an XL. The 3ds XL is designed to be bigger but smoother than its counterpart. The original 3ds had sharp edges while the XL has smoother edges for those days you take it on the go. Another notable feature is the hinges. The reason i no longer had my red 3ds was that one fateful morning the hinges on the back-side had broken and thus the system was hanging from one side. Needless to say said 3ds is no longer operational. Daughter loves this game console
