The Nixon Newton 48732 Wrist Watch for Men is a marvel of visual science with its proprietary display of two rotating, colored discs and LED lighting that is easy on the eyes. Nixon designed the timepiece to be a solid black with a few splashes of color, namely to note hours and minutes, and a button for the backlight at 2 o'clock. This men's watch has a sleek 37.5 mm polycarbonate case. It is water-resistant up to 100 feet and has a hardened mineral crystal. The integrated band is a custom-injected molded silicone unibody, tapered with a polycarbonate buckle and locking looper. The Nixon Newton has Miyota Japanese quartz movement, printed dial masking, and dual-gasket molded pushers. It gets noticed
It gets noticed. I have had a few compliments about it since I have owned it. The look and style is unusal to what's already out there. The band has a silicone rubbery feel so it feels a little weird ( different ) on the wrist. But once you get past that it's fine. For me, I keep the band a little loose and it helps with the feel. Because the watch is so light I don't feel as though I am wearing it sometimes. If one is purchased be advised that this watch like a few out there have both analog (hands or dots moving in a circle) and it has digital ( in this case the light). This all means it has two batteries. The CR**** is for the light and the other one (Sony 626W) is deeper into the watch and is for the actual movement of the hands. Both cost about $5. And with a an mini screwdriver they can be replaced by you. Not a major task. Just take the back off. Once both are replaced it will keep time perfectly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
