Great piece of kit.

Beautiful beast
I began my Sonos journey with the original Play 1, which I still have and am still amazed by its quality for the size. When I recently picked up a Gen 1 Play 5, I was fully expecting to be blown away by the quality. However, while definitely more powerful than the 1, it did not prove to be the huge upgrade I was hoping for. Most recently I picked up a 'C Graded' ex-display Gen2 Play 5, in white. The C grading appears just to have been because of the grubby finger marks all over the top, as it arrived in its original packaging and cleaned up perfectly to look like new. And WOW, what a stark difference to the gen 1! Massively punchy, and yet incredibly accurate and precise sounding. Really impressed. All that's left now is to add a second one in a stereo pair... And maybe a sub... And maybe a pre-amplified record player into the aux-input... Oh dear!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Amazing piece of kit
Incredibly rich & deep sound from a speaker that sounds ten times bigger that its dimensions. You absolutely don'y need a subwoofer to compliment this unless you have a huge room to fill with sound. It's an expensive speaker, no doubt, but you pay for what you get and with this, you get the ultimate in crystal clear sound, the way it was meant to be enjoyed. It connect to your wifi network for seamless playback without interruptions from push notifications or other apps that you might be using on your device. That being said, I do wish it had bluetooth connectivity as another option so i could take the speaker with me when I want music elsewhere, such as festivals, in the park, parties, or just areas where there is no wifi. That's my one criticism and it's a small one as other than that, it's perfection in a beautiful white (or black!) box.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Awesomeness in a speaker
Not enough superlatives for these speakers, musical at all volumes, reproduces the most intricate details coupled with bass punch that will vibrate your windows (and quite possibly a few of your neighbours too).
