Good tuners at a good price.
My old guitar needed new tuners because one of them had stripped its threads and was insecure in the headstock. After having a good look on ebay I decided to choose the Vansons because they looked good, the description was very good, including the measurements-so I knew they would fit-and the price seemed fair. They arrived very quickly, a day or two earlier than scheduled and I fitted them straight away. I was very pleased that they dropped straight in without any trouble and the knobs are exactly the same shape as the old ones so the guitar doesn't look any different from the front. The locking devices work very well and it is very easy to fit the strings and tune up and the guitar stays in tune. Doesn't work so well
Some of the strings hold their tuning, some of them still go around the post, making them useless. Also string breaks easily by these. I cant take strings off and put back on without breaking one. I stick with 100+ euro products, it is worth it to pay for good quality locking tuners. These just don't do it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Why pay more for big brands?
I'm always a little sceptical of cheap guitar hardware but after installing a set of these I'm pleased to say that they drop straight in place of the Gotoh's that were oem on my Jackson and after a few turns to bed them in they feel smooth and positive. The position screw hole is smaller than both Schaller and Gotoh which means there's even less movement. The only (minor) quibble I have is they are heavier than the locking Schaller's on my other Soloist and the buttons are not interchangeable with Schaller/Gotoh. Longevity? Vanson locking tuners.
Excellent product. I replaced the locking tuners on my Harley Benton which I had also fitted. These are much better. Easy to fit, they match the existing holes perfectly. Easy to use - simply slot the string through the post hole, tighten the clamp, snip off excess string and tune up! Very stable. I have been using them for a month now and my guitar stays in tune perfectly, and I use my vibrato arm (whammy bar) excessively without trouble. Amazing for the price
I've used cheap and expensive locking tuners, and this is by far one of the best I have tried. They're nearly half the price of schaller and hipshot tuners and work just as well. Perfect for what i wanted.
Excellent machine heads. I originally brought a set for my Tele, and then purchased another set for my Jazzmaster. The torque is perfect and all of equal amounts. Held tuning perfectly since being on the guitars. The finish is like a satin kind which helps keep them subtle. Just what I needed.....
I'm building a project Strat (#6, so far) and I wanted to try locking tuners. My old Squier neck was reamed out for Schaller-type tuning keys, and these fit perfectly. The reason I bought this particular set was because the key itself was an oval, very similar to those seen on factory Fenders. Add to that the fact that the tuners are sealed units, and they actually align with the holes for the previous set, and I'm quite chuffed. The price was reasonable, and delivery from England was very fast. This was the only set of sealed, locking tuners I found with the correct shape on the key itself. I'll buy more of this product in the future. I just got a couple new guitars and they could be candidates for locking tuners, as well, plus my old standbys. Why pay more for pro quality locking tuners?
As a small-volume guitar maker with mainly 'professional musician' customers, I just don't take potentially risky economic shortcuts. So I tried a set of these on a guitar I was making for myself (1st time in a decade) and they were excellent. I cannot see any difference, from build quality to tuning stability to aesthetics, between these and the big brand oem and aftermarket products. Apart from costing a 5th of the price? Some customers, I know, will specify Sch....., Kl..., Hi..... etc etc. But if they prefer instead to save £80-100 (or 10% plus) from the cost of their instrument, with no downside - deliveries have also been fast, ditto ease of fitting - then now they can. And I won't be concerned about later "issues" in the slightest. The same high ratio precision, the same smooth operation, the same every time & on all 6. All I can't say yet is how they will stand up over several years of use and abuse - though there's every indication (weight/build quality etc) that this also won't become a differentiator. Vanson locking tuners
I purchased these to fit onto my OLP twin neck and they have transformed the guitar in both looks and tuning stability. They were a fraction of the price of the schaller M6 units they fit to music man and they are better than the schallers fitted to my Axis. They fitted straight on with no problem.
