Beautiful illustrations and easy read for smallies
This is a really beautiful book. I bought it for my 4 year old who doesn't open up easily with expressing his feelings in words and his creché also said that he always says he's "ok" when they know he isn't. I decided to get the book to see if we could help him associate colours and vocab to how he feels. He is not special needs but eitherway I could see this book being beneficial to all babies and toddlers learning and understanding about strong feelings and emotions. When the book arrived, he read through it and as recommended on the back of the book, to discuss with your child what makes them feel [insert emotions here] and he definitely engaged and liked the interaction as opposed to just reading the text. We try and read it a few times a week and chat about what makes us happy, angry, etc and even the colourful illustrations alone make this book stand out from the other books. He loves to read an has many books but we don't have anything that deals with emotions directly and I'm very happy we added this to his collection.
