Very disappointing.
The film was really good and about Philomena. The book is about her son, his homosexuality and how that didn't work alongside his chosen career within American politics of the era. There is very little about Philomena. It feels like the author hasn't really got enough material for the book so he makes it up as he goes along with a fictional feel to it. An already written book rebranded
This book is almost identical to The lost child of Philomina Lee. It was put out & rebranded after the film (which was great but not factual). I bought it as I thought it was a new book .
