Hidden virtues
This radio looks like nothing special for quite a lot of cash. In reality, it performs really well for both speech and music, has better reception than most, can fill a room with quality sound. Just what I wanted.
Nice looking and well made, loving the walnut casing. It works well and is easy to use. As a re-furb for us it was a bargain. Would have liked Bluetooth included but for the price we can't complain. Not hugely loud but OK for us, we knew it was a small-ish device. Warm sound, not at all tinny. Dimmable screen with time-out is a good feature for bedroom use. Special battery pack needed if you want to make it portable, which has to be bought separately and relatively expensive at circa 30GBP, not needed if using with mains supply. Good little radio
Nice small footprint for a small bedside table. Typical Pure design: well finished, nice controls, small but easy to read display.
