No good for road bike shifters.
The cable is coated in a Teflon plastic sleeve not Teflon coated(or dipped). This means that it will not fit thru the outer cable ends. I had to cut the sleeving off in order to make it work. Daft idea in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Single Piece Cables
Gear Cables benefit from being able to freely slide within a Good Outer. Teflon coasted Inner Cables with a Lined outer, a Single piece from Shifter to Mech. Why manufacturers prefer to have the outer split into three sections with two sections of just the Inner, running close to the frame. Thatexposes the cable to the elements. I would recommend that everyone with such system to remember what it looks like is MUCH LESS important than how easily & consistantly it works. I'd reccomend that everyone should replace their Gear & Brake Cables with Teflon/PTFE coated Inners with a Single piece of lined outerVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
