hidden gem for the price
i bought these at peter tyson, and for ~120 british pounds, these are absolutely recommended. class a, low-distortion, fun, spacious, dynamic little amp with absolutely perfect build despite being made in china. two-stage gain setting comes handy, so the z40 works with sensitive iems, and with the gain set to high, it can drive full-size cans with ease. also, as a nice touch, the amp might be controlled via remote control, which is a rare feature for headphone amps. four inputs are practical, and z40 works as a preamp, too. i could use a balanced output, but for the money, i really can't complain.

Super sound and great build quality
Build quality is first rate, it's nice and heavy so it does not move about when you plug in your headphones, the volume control has a very smooth action and it makes no hum whatsoever. Strangely, when you plug in the headphones the RCA output is muted, also the RCA output is variable. To my mind this is more like a pre-amp than other headphone amps that I have owned but this could only be an issue of course if you use the output for eg. to a blue-tooth transmitter. I like the sound quality very much, to me it is smooth and slightly warm with plenty of detail. It does not have quite the dynamics of my Creek OBH-21 SE in terms of the stunning attack you get on electric guitar for example but I personally prefer the Myryad for its more relaxed presentation and lack of interference issues.

Myryad Z40 Headphone Amp
Excellent headphone amp for not a lot of money. Build quality is very impressive, feels very well put together. Very powerful, detailed and above all ..... Musical. It's also remote controlable but the remote is a £36 extra. Worth it though as it still all comes in at under £180. Bargain for this quailty.
