Billy Fury made this film in the early 1960's when the Guru's of the entertainment world thought that they had their hands on BRITAIN'S answer to ELVIS PRESLEY. Play it Cool was supported by a number of guest performers in an attempt to raise the level of enthusiasm in an otherwise dull production. Despite his large number of recordings, Fury never got to number 1 in the British Hit Parade. He is remembered as the only performer to walk out on Val Parnell's SUNDAY NIGHT AT THE LONDON PALLADIUM.
