Melting aluminum
Melts pretty quickly and works perfect! I recommend this for anyone setup was pretty easy as well you will have to buy a regulator the one provided don't mount to US propane tanks or to my knowledge it don't! But overall very nice little setup! Would buy again may go for a bigger size next time but if you ain't having to pour mass amounts of aluminum or anything like that you should be fine! This furnace works very well, for the money better than smaller units I've purchased. Ran into a small problem adapting it to US propane tanks, but got a high pressure regulator, propane tank connection and hose for $15 which has worked well. Okay guys I just unpacked this furnace & so far it looks great! After thousands of miles of travel and not a scratch! And the shipping was crazy fast! Just a brief assessment on it after the unveiling, it looks very well designed & constructed! Good welds, good insulation, burner looks great. great starter forge
Works great. Can melt aluminum and copper with ease. In the US, had to get a different propane adapter, and it was hard to get on, but works perfectly now. Inside has ceramic blanket. I can imagine it would wear down, so don't touch it too much. The brick at the bottom breaks easily, but it still works while broken. Overall, I would buy it again. Where has this been all my life??
This has to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. To go from an old backyard coal foundry to something this professionally made is such a difference. I managed to smelt over 26 lbs of material in just a few hours as compared to a pound a day. Genuinely worth the price and its no more expensive than a home build furnace. Im also rather happy it came with the American adapter and I didn't have to hunt one down. Will melt a kilo of Aluminium in a few minutes.
It also burnt through my 2 mm wall mild steel pot, so a proper crucible may be the way to go.... The accident caused no damage to the furnace, a tribute in itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
