  • Didn't think I was already cutting a 4x2!

Saw is very "easy" which is to say, it cuts quickly without making a noise like a jet engine, as does my cabled circular saw. It's that smooth, on my first cut through a 4x2, I wasn't sure if I was cutting anything as there was no resistance (new blade though!). Most of my cutting is here there and everywhere, so cordless is so much easier, and no snagging the cable when you're cutting a long sheet, trying to watch the pencil line, when the resistance grows, and you realise the cable is caught at the start of the sheet! No more taking my eyes off the guide line as there's no cable to consider. Ryobi saw cuts straight, ie vertical 90degrees, not 91/92/93 etc and bevel cutting was easy although guide notch needs to be interpreted depending on your angle of bevel, but not an issue. Wattage is lower than cabled saws which might be a problem if you cut "wet" wood or if you're rich enough to cut hard woods. Blade did stop on me when cutting 4mm perspex but probably due to melted sticky perspex gripping the blade. Overall a good purchase & I'm glad I have the tool as my old cabled circular hasn't been off the storage shelf since getting the ryobi.

  • Bit strange !

Nice little circular saw. Ideal for light work cutting sheets etc. In common with all Ryobi tools it suffers from their lowish amp hr batteries, but fine on new charge battery. Only strange thing is that it is 'left handed' so takes a bit of getting used to.

  • Powerful, mobile, light and accurate

Does away with dangerous leads, and allows electric saw power away from power sources. Frugal with the battery, good laser for precision, and clean cut. A must have!
